I.Change the following active sentences into passive form !

1.       ACTIVE   : They are bulding a new ring-road round the city.

PASSIVE  : A new ring round the city is being  built  by them.

2.       ACTIVE   : They have changed the date of the meeting .

PASSIVE  : The date of meeting has been changed by them.

3.       ACTIVE   : Is professor rivers teaching that course this semester ?

PASSIVE  : is the course being taught  by professor rivers this semester ?

4.       ACTIVE    : Waitresess and waiters serve custumers.

PASSIVE  : Custumers are served by the waiteresess and waiters.

5.       ACTIVE    : Hundreds of people visit the wahington monument every day.

PASSIVE : The Washington is visited by hundreads of people every day.

6.       ACTIVE    : They don’t pay Jim very much.

PASSIVE  : Jim isn’t  paid by them very much.

7.       ACTIVE    : These students are learning the passive.

PASSIVE  : The passive is being learnt by them

8.       ACTIVE    : somebody has shot the president.

PASSIVE  : The President has been shot by somebody

II.Change following passive sentences into active forms.

1.      PASSIVE  : That report is being prepared by Alex.

ACTIVE   : Alex is preparing the report .

2.      PASSIVE  : A new idea has been suggested by Shirley.

ACTIVE   : Shirley has suggested  a new idea.

3.      PASSIVE  : Have you ever been bitten by a dog ?.

ACTIVE   : Has a dog ever bitten you ?

4.      PASSIVE  : Our homework is corrected by our teacher.

ACTIVE   : Our thecher is corrects our homework .

5.      PASSIVE  : That proposal is being considered by the members right now.

ACTIVE    : the members are considering that proposal right now.

6.      PASSIVE  : two buildings have been contructed by that company.

ACTIVE   : The Company has contructed two buildings.

7.      PASSIVE  : The mail is opened by the secretary every morning.

ACTIVE   : The secretary  opens a mail every morning.

8.      PASSIVE  : The truck is being loaded by the man now .

ACTIVE   : the man is loading the truck now.
